The Second Bourbon Barrel of Compromise was held at the historic Willard Hotel. The event was hosted by the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship (HCCS) and featured the Kentucky Congressional Delegation and HCCS fellows among other VIP guests.
ARCCF celebrated the 90th anniversary of the birthday of its friend Slava, whose name is legendary in the US, Russia, and Azerbaijan, and venerated throughout the world. The event was held in the Russian Lounge of The John. F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Guests included Senator Richard G. Lugar; H. E. Sergey I. Kislyak of Russia, H. E. Elin Suleymanov of Azerbaijan; Borislav Strulev on Cello; Victor Prieto on Accordion; Event chair Marta Casals Istomin and Cellist Lynn Harrell among others.

WASHINGTON – NOVEMBER 30: Hundreds of American flags are displayed on the National Mall as part of a campaign by gay rights lobbying groups including the Log Cabin Republicans, Liberty Education Forum, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, and the Human Rights Campaign November 30, 2007 in Washington, DC. The groups planted the flags on the anniversary of the signing of the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” law, with one American flag for each soldier discharged from military service due to their sexuality.
